From its beginning in 1997 as an informal gathering of peers in San Francisco, YNPN has grown to become one of the nation's largest associations of nonprofit practitioners. To better serve this growing national network and provide infrastructure for local chapters across the country, YNPN National incorporated as an independent, national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2004. YNPN National provides support and resources for local YNPN networks through leadership development, networking and advocacy activities.
YNPN LA was founded in 2002 and incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2011 in order to better serve our Southern California community.
