What is Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Los Angeles?
YNPN Los Angeles is a registered 501(c)3 organization building a community of mission-driven, socially engaged, passionate individuals who are interested in growing personally and professionally to foster a stronger Los Angeles and world.
How can I get involved?
Meet us! Our monthly Nonprofit Networking Mixers typically take place the fourth Tuesday of the month and rotate around Los Angeles County to meet our members where they're at -- literally! Mixers are a great place to network, share ideas, discuss challenges with like-minded folks, and build meaningful relationships.
Professional development events are open to members in full standing ($30/year). Events range from brown bag lunches, to coffee talks, to speaker series and workshops. To foster a more connected social sector in LA, we frequently partner with local nonprofit and social good leaders. Past partnerships have included Antioch University Los Angeles, USC's Masters in Nonprofit Management, Center for Nonprofit Management, Community Partners, Executive Service Corps, Coro Southern California, and Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP LA).
How can I stay up to date?
You'll find all the details about our events in your email (sign up for our email newsletter) or on social media, via...
What do you mean by "young?"
Most of our members are in their 20s and 30s, but all are welcome in the YNPN LA family! Our community is as diverse as our field. Some folks who attend YNPN LA events are just entering the nonprofits workforce, while others have "earned their stripes" and are looking to grow professionally, and still others are transitioning into the nonprofit sector from other industries.
Most events and programming are geared towards supporting young professionals, but almost all of the spaces we hold and topics we tackle will be helpful to folks of all ages. The bottom line is: if you think you can learn and contribute, please join us!
What if I don't work in the nonprofit field?
We believe that there are valuable lessons that the nonprofit sector can learn from other fields, and vise versa. Join us!
I've attended a few events and I want to get more involved.
